Happy they are based out of NY. I heard they use “agents” you don’t speak to but this is not true. I have a recruiter I speak to daily. Compliance is good and you can renew certs thru them, get benefits with no co pays, uniform reimbursement, free tickets to nurse Blake, and a nice care package. Lots of perks I have not seen in a long long time as agencies just focused on making money and not worrying about their travelers like Trusted does. It’s refreshing to see this and the fact they are so responsive. I can understand them and what they are saying unlike these outsourced companies. I get to get new uniforms and reimbursed for them. 🙂 I found out about this agency from a long term travel RN at UHS Wilson ER. I just forgot her name and I could find it. If anyone needs a good agency, Trusted is it. Robert M has been persistent and very nice in finding me something.
I would recommend TNS to all my travel Nurse friends. My recruiter Andrew and whole team are great.
I have been a traveling nurse with Trusted Nurse Staffing for several years. I have left in the past and used other agencies, but found out the hard way that honesty isn’t always the policy. I was nervous about going back to Trusted after leaving and my recruiter Aaron assured me that he would be delighted to have me back. He has been honest and upfront the whole time. It has been a pleasure to work for Trusted.
Trusted nurse staffing is a great travel company to work for .I've had a few contracts with them and they have always been very helpful looking for the right fit for your needs and walking you through the process . You'll feel very confident that they have your best interest in mind when you work with them 👍
The best staffing agency in the country - hands down.
I've traveled for almost 10 yrs , used numerous agencies in that time. Trusted offers excellent pay packages , but also offers THE best benefits! If you'd like ZERO co-pay insurance , great rates paid accurately and timely, and a recruitment team who has your back 100%! This is the agency you want to work for.
Trusted Nurse Staff deserves every STAR. I've been employed with them for just over 2 years and I wish I had known about them in the past. I have a very good nurse recruiter. He is very attentive to my needs and makes sure I'm comfortable with contracts. He listens to me vent when I have to and always has great advice. My compliance team makes sure all paperwork is in order and also gets right back to you when you need them. My advice: they are good people and great to work for.
I've been with TNS for 3 years now, and always had a positive experience. My recruiter advocated for me every single step of the way, be it disagreements with facilities or simple miscommunications. But most of all getting me the highest paying contract that I've seen, much less had, in YEARS. And at the most competitive facility in Upstate New York. I hope to have her in my corner for as long as I am traveling!
As a nurse who was hesitant to travel, this company and my recruiter made the transition seamless. The benefits available, the professionalism of my recruiter, and the adaptability to personalize my experience traveling are just a few of the many benefits I have experienced the year and a half I have been with this company.

Attention to malpractice insurance is crucial. Reputable firms maintain comprehensive coverage, but it’s essential for physicians to inquire about coverage details, including limits, admitted states, and carrier ratings, to ensure adequate protection.
You will be paid as a 1099 independent contractor, meaning you assume responsibility for handling your tax obligations. Unlike traditional employment where taxes are withheld from your paycheck, as a 1099 contractor, you are required to calculate and pay your taxes independently. This entails setting aside a portion of your earnings to cover federal, state, and possibly local taxes, as well as self-employment taxes, which contribute to Social Security and Medicare. It’s advisable to consult with a tax professional to ensure compliance with tax regulations and to efficiently manage your financial responsibilities as an independent contractor.
A locum tenens agency provides various support services, including job placement, credentialing assistance, travel and housing arrangements, and malpractice insurance coverage. They also offer ongoing support throughout the assignment.
The credentialing process involves verifying a provider’s qualifications, including education, training, licensure, and work history. The agency assists with gathering the necessary documents and submitting them to the hiring facility.
Various healthcare facilities utilize locum tenens providers, including hospitals, clinics, private practices, urgent care centers, and long-term care facilities. These assignments can be in urban, suburban, or rural locations.
