Schedule and Procedures

• Monday through Friday, GI Lab hours 8 am to 4 pm
• No call required

Required Procedures:

• Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser), injection of varices, and PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy)
• Esophageal dilatation/manometry and esophageal manometry interpretation
• Small bowel biopsy
• Lower GI endoscopy, including flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy
• Colonoscopy with biopsy and excision of polyp

Preferred Procedures:

• Advanced provider for ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) both diagnostic and therapeutic
• Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
• Liver biopsy

Certifications and Licensing:

• Must have a current active PA license
• Board Certified/Board Eligible within 5 years of Residency through the American Board of Internal Medicine, Subspecialty of Gastroenterology
• Fellowship trained in Gastroenterology
• BLS certification required
