We are seeking a locum radiologist to join our imaging center-based breast center. This position involves providing coverage due to the retirement of a breast imager.

Practice Setting:

• Imaging center-based breast center
• Affiliated with a prominent hospital

Schedule:

• 8 AM – 5 PM

Average Number of Cases Per Day:

• Screens: 41.0
• Diagnostics: 7.2
• MRIs: 2.1
• Stereotactic Biopsies: 0.2
• Ultrasound Biopsies: 1.1
• MRI Biopsies: 0.1
• Breast Ultrasounds: 5.2
• Total: 56.9

Documentation System/EMR:

• Powerscribe
• EPIC
• Hologic

Facility Details:

• 2-3 exam rooms
• 5 radiologists in local practice

Support Staff:

• Associated Mammography and Ultrasound Technicians

Patient Demographic:

• Predominantly adult women (35+) with breast imaging needs

Certification & Licensing:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology (ABR or AOBR) required
• Active California license required
• Breast Imaging Fellowship preferred
• BLS certification preferred

Credentialing:

• Timeframe: 60-90 days

Procedures Required:

• Mammography
• MRI Breast
• Breast Procedures
