MercyOne Dubuque is seeking a Locum Pathologist Physician for a busy hospital-based practice. The position requires coverage one week per month, including Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with additional on-call duties during weekends and nights.

- Clinical Lab Responsibilities: Handling blood bank and resolving complex antibody issues; reviewing unusual hematology peripheral blood smears
- Specimen and Section Responsibilities: No requirement to gross specimens or cut own frozen sections on the cryostat

- Physicians: 1.5
- Histotechnologists: 4
- Pathology Assistants: 1
- Cytotechnologists: 2
- Supervision Requirement: Yes, supervision of other healthcare providers is necessary
- Cryostat and Microscope Types:
- Cryostat: Leica
- Microscope: Olympus
- Documentation System/EMR: CoPath
- Credentialing Timeframe: Estimated at 90 days

Other Information:
- There will be no other pathologists present during coverage.
- No cytology proficiency exam is required for GYN cytology.
