Dates Needed: Various periods in March, July, and August are required for coverage.
The position requires 8 hours onsite with an additional 24 hours on call.
– Must hold an active MI license.
– Minimum Board Certification required or be board eligible.
Call Requirements:
– 10 hours in-house and 14 hours on night call.
– Arrival within 30 minutes to ED or OB unit for emergencies or labor changes.
– Response time to ED and L&D within 10 minutes.
– Attendings must see patients within 12 hours of admission to L&D.
Delivery and Supervision:
– Average call: 8 per day.
– Annual deliveries: 370-380 with the inclusion of family medicine groups totaling 450 for the unit.
– Supervision of FM residents and 3rd/4th-year medical students required.
Certifications:
– ABLC, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS are encouraged but not mandatory.
– Conscious sedation module completion required for those seeking privileges.
Facility Details:
– Stroke certified (primary level).
– Trauma Level 2 Facility.
– Pediatrics Level 3.
– 15 beds in department.
– Patient encounters average 4.3 per day.
– Nearest airport: Sawyer International Airport.
Specialties and Skills:
– Obstetrics and Gynecology focus.
– Preferred skills in both low and high-risk pregnancies.
– Competency in FHR interpretation and OB ultrasounds.
– Preferred experience in routine, complicated deliveries, and various gynecological procedures.
