Physician travelers are needed for a facility in Davenport, Iowa, seeking a Locum Psychiatrist to provide PRN "as needed" coverage.

Schedule and Credentialing:
– Facility will confirm dates once credentialing is 90% complete.

Responsibilities:
– Inpatient psychiatric care for adult and adolescent units.
– Provide hospital and ER consultations (telehealth not available).
– Supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APP).
– Participate in on-call duties.

Facility Information:
– Average patients per day: 5-12.
– Total beds: 18 adults, 5 adolescents.
– Current psychiatric group includes 1 part-time inpatient psychiatrist.
– Supported by 2 Advanced Practice Providers.
– Uses Cerner for documentation.
– Trauma Level/Designation: III.
– Referral and transfer protocol with University of Iowa, 40 minutes away.
– Security measures are in place on each campus.

Treatment and Conditions:
– Required to treat disorders such as Anxiety, Affective, ADD/ADHD, Personality, Eating, Developmental, Psychotic, and Organic Disorders.
– Expected to be familiar with Family Therapy, Restraint Application, Group Therapy, Pharmacotherapy, Seclusion Therapy, and Voluntary Commitments.

Submission Requirements:
– Board Certified in Psychiatry (Board Eligible not accepted).
– Must have an Iowa license or be part of the IMLC.
– Demonstrated inpatient experience is required.
– Experience with patients ages 6 and up.
– Documentation of experience with specified disorders and therapeutic practices is required.
– 2+ years of inpatient psychiatric experience is highly preferred.
