Responsibilities:

• Serve as a consultant for inpatients, with full hospitalist and ICU attending coverage.
• Collaborate with general surgery PAs.
• Perform a variety of surgical procedures as outlined in the required skills section.
• Manage patient encounters as specified.

Requirements:

• Candidates must be certified and board-certified physicians.
• Must hold a BLS certification.
• Estimated credentialing timeframe is between 30 to 90 days.
• Candidates with experience in general, pediatric, and trauma surgeries are preferred.
• Proficiency in laparoscopic surgery procedures such as appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, and more.
• Skills in head/neck surgery, chest wall/pleural procedures, breast surgery, obstetric & gynecologic surgeries including cesarean sections, and others.
• Experience in endoscopic procedures, minor orthopedics, hand surgery, and various insertion techniques preferred.
• Pediatric surgeons should have experience in specialized pediatric procedures.

• Trauma level of the facility: 4.
