Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced OB/GYN physician for call coverage. This role involves providing coverage for a facility with an onsite lab and ultrasound, and working alongside a team that includes nursing staff on the labor and delivery floor.
Facility Overview:
– Total Number of Beds: 6
– Average Number of Scheduled Patients Per Day: 1-2
– Physicians in Practice: 2
– Percentage of Practice in Low Risk Pregnancy: 46%
– Percentage of Practice in High Risk Pregnancy: 28%
– Percentage of Practice in Gynecology: 50%
– Average Number of Nursery Admissions Per Day: 1-2
– Documentation System/EMR: Meditech
– Trauma Level/Designation: Level 2
Procedural Requirements:
– Obstetrics Procedures:
– Low Risk Pregnancy (e.g., history of twins, toxemia, pyelonephritis)
– High Risk Pregnancy (e.g., toxemia, diabetes, Class II or higher cardiac issues, chronic lung problems, chronic renal disease)
- Labor and Delivery Procedures:
- Routine Delivery (Vaginal, Low Forceps, Decision-Making for C-Section)
- Complicated Delivery (C-Section, Breech, Multiple Births, Abruption)

Repair of 3rd and 4th Degree Lacerations

Gynecology Procedures:
- Ectopic Pregnancy
- Ovary Removal
- Cystectomy
- Extensive LOA
Submission Requirements:
– Board Certified OB/GYN
– Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
– Michigan License or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
– Clean Background for Quick Credentialing
– COVID-19 Vaccination
– Participation in Michigan Medicaid/CHAMPS
Certification Requirements:
– ACLS
– Basic Life Support (BLS)
– Board Certified
State Licenses:
– Michigan
