Emergency medicine coverage is needed for an ongoing assignment, requiring continuous availability to avoid any gaps. The current team consists of two providers covering 24 hours daily in 12-hour shifts, with additional support from employed Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) working from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a patient volume averaging 1.5 patients per hour.
- Utilize the Meditech electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Handle a wide range of procedures including intubations, chest tubes, central lines, critical care, procedural sedation, airway management, OB/GYN procedures, and both adult and pediatric resuscitation.
- Maintain comfort and expertise working with patients of all ages.
- Demonstrate recent experience with a minimum of 250 case logs in the past year.
Requirements:
- Board-certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) is required.
- Active North Dakota medical license or eligibility for the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
- Certification in ACLS, PALS, and ATLS is mandatory.
- Proficiency in emergency procedures and a strong clinical background.

- The state of North Dakota requires ATLS certification for any emergency medicine provider practicing there.
- The credentialing process can be completed in around four weeks, with temporary credentials available sooner if needed.
Travel:
- Travel provisions include flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage. Preferred hotels are specified, though no first-class tickets or upgrades are provided.
- Local candidates are preferred and will be given priority over those requiring travel accommodations.
