Looking for an experienced Gastroenterology (GI) provider to assist in a Gastro Hospitalist role. The position arises due to a retirement, with the need for a full-time provider until a permanent provider is hired. A minimum availability of 2 weeks per month is required if there are two providers working alternating 2-week schedules. If the locum is a fit, they may be considered for the permanent position. Providers interested in performing outpatient procedures are welcome and should indicate this in their application.

• Schedule: Weekday coverage, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, no nights or weekends.
• Patient Encounters Per Shift: Approximately 5.
• Location: Spokane, WA.
• Facility Requirements:
• Physicians must be board certified.
• Estimated credentialing time frame: 90 days.

• Fellowship level: 2.

• ACLS

• BLS

• Specialty Skills Required:

• Internal Medicine – Gastroenterology
• Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, and fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser)
• Diagnostic ERCP
• Esophageal dilatation/manometry and manometry interpretation
• Small bowel biopsy
• Lower GI endoscopy and sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid)

• Colonoscopy with biopsy and excision of polyp

• Trauma Level: 2

• Pediatric Level: 0
