MultiCare Yakima is seeking coverage in a GI clinic setting. The position involves seeing 14-16 patients per day, including complex liver and GI cases and new referrals. The clinic is staffed with a full-time provider, a PA-C, and intermittent shifts by an employed GI. Duties include standard clinic responsibilities such as pathology review and referrals, without the need for direct supervision of the PA.

In-Clinic Procedures:
– Pill Cam interpretation
– PEG tube exchange
– Hemoccult test
– Lidocaine injections

Requirements:
– Board certification in Gastroenterology
– Required certifications: ACLS, BLS

Specialty Skills:
– Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration, varices injection
– ERCP (preferred)
– Sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid)
– Colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision

The position requires a trauma level 3 facility, and the nearest airport is Yakima Air Terminal. Credentialing timeframe is approximately 60-90 days, with expedited privileges possible for those with a clean history.
