MultiCare Yakima is seeking a physician for GI clinic coverage. The role involves handling 14-16 patients per day, focusing on complex liver and GI cases alongside new referrals. The clinic has one full-time provider and a PA-C, with occasional support from an employed GI. Responsibilities include pathology review, referrals, and assisting with questions posed by the PA. Direct supervision is not needed.

In-Clinic Procedures:
– Interpretation of Pill Cam studies
– Peg tube exchange
– Hemoccult test
– Lidocaine injections

Specialty Skills:
– Internal Medicine – Gastroenterology
– Upper GI Endoscopy (with biopsy, foreign body removal, and fulguration of bleeder required)
– Injection of varices
– Sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid required)
– Colonoscopy (with biopsy and excision of polyp required)

Preferred Skills:
– ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic)
– Esophageal dilatation/manometry
– Insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube
– PEG procedures

Certification Requirements:
– ACLS
– BLS

Additional Details:
– Board certification is required
– Clean history enables expedited credentialing (estimated 60-90 days)
– Trauma Level: 3
– Facility PEDs Level: 3

Physicians should have experience in the specified procedures and certifications. The position does not allow for bidders with IMLC. Nearest airports for travel are the Yakima Air Terminal and TriCities/Pasco (PSC).
